Do you need evidence

Government says there is no evidence of Ram.

For that matter, do these fools realize that there is no evidence of the existence of any God ?? But of course, you cannot question the existence of Prophet Mohamed or Allah. Doesnt matter that anyone can take hair of their beard or more likely, some camel or donkey hair, place it in a mosque and call it a Prophet's relic.

God or no God, what about the environmental impact of such a stupid hairbrained scheme? Most ships anyway come from round the Cape of Good Hope or the Suez Canal - Red Sea in the west, or the Malacca straits to the east, so demolishing the Ram Sethu would hardly save much distance to Eastern India.  Within India, its much easier and faster to send stuff by road rather than the sarkari railways or ships from west to east(or east to west). Unless of course, India is doing it for the benefit of west pakistani ships bound for east pakistan or vice versa.

Instead of investing such a large amount of structural engineering machinery into this stupid scheme, better they expediate the many other structural projects pending in the country...

Yes, there is something very curious and sinister about the unholy haste exhibited by this government to destroy the Ram Setu. After all, Indian officialdom is not known for speed or efficiency. Rather, it is synonymous with red-tape and lethargy. Therefore, one should be suspicious when Indian state apparatus insists on doing some work, whatever that may be.

There are far more important and essential infrastructural projects that are pending - Golden quadrilateral, N/S, E/W corridor, interlinking of rivers etc. The Indian railway system does not extend beyond Assam. There are no proper highways connecting the north-eastern states to the mainland. This is a huge logistics problem for the Indian army, particularly when the chinese have 6 lane highways & high capacity railways right upto the Indian border.
There is only 1 tunnel in the Banihal pass connecting Kashmir to India & the rail line ends at Jammu.

If a shipping canal is really such an imperative for the economy, why not realign/relocate it to a more suitable place? Perhaps an Indian version of Suez canal connecting
Karwar- Visakhapatnam or
Chennai-Mangalore or some other alignment.

The adamant insistence on an alignment that will destroy
Ram Setu, ignoring all religious, archaeological, evironmental, economic & military aspects indicates malafide intentions.

I know the reason behind the haste. It is money. As they say “follow the money”, this is a humongous project and the money is literally thrown away in the water. No body would be able to audit the expenses because you cannot find out what exactly happened under the water and tons of money has already been thrown away by way of repeated dredging. And this minister Reverend T R “I am ashamed of being a Hindu” Balu stands to make tons of money as the projects gets under way.

Yes of course if u need hospital records, birth certificates and videographic evidence...there is of course no proof of Lord Ram...

There is a wealth of evidence out there if u r willing to pay attention to them proving the existence of Ram...May i suggest a visit to Ramashewaram for starters to look at the wealth of evidence that point to the existence and proof of the 'mythical tale' of Ramayana

These guys are part of the same unscruplous and intellectually challenged dhimmies that challenge the historical antecdents of Lord Krishna, Dwaraka, Mahabharatha and the Battle of Kurukshetra as 'mythological tales' etc etc..

In a weird way, I am happy to see that the pain of dealing with these Dravidian parties is no longer confined to the Hindus of TN. Its now a national issue..I hope it will hasten the demise of this crude anti-Indian and hypocritical ideology.. I am just wondering what more damage it is gonna spawn before it peters out..

why do Hindus elect such rats

This is a typical christist strategy of constantly sniping away at Hinduism (like that cross on the Rs. 2 coin); in the case of the Sethusamudram in alliance with those despicable “dravidian” political parties of TN. It is of little importance that the govt. has withdrawn its original affidavit ( i am sure the govt. must have been prepared for the protests, they are not so stupid). What is crucial is that things have reached such a pass that such an affidavit could have even be considered in the first place. The damage is done. Once again the Hindus are on the defensive with their faith & beliefs under “scientific scrutiny.” India’s secular vermin will no doubt have a field day discussing Hindu “mythology” (how I hate this word). The usual commie rubbish of Rama being some kind of pastoral chief who over the course of time got deified etc. will be loudly discussed while Hindu leaders etc. will be again forced to go on the defensive. As Rajeev put it in his post on the article “failing state of India”, “the barbarians are no longer at the gates: they are inside, they are sitting on the throne and waving the scepter around.” What we are witnessing is the scepter being waved around.

Why call Prophet Mohamed? He is not your prophet; just calling him mohamed the islamic prophet should suffice.

for a change though the BJP proved effective- "Heat makes UPA see the light: Cannot Doubt Ram's existence" reports the IE.

"From He Ram to No Ram: Who benefits?"

Interesting viewpoint. I don't agree with it entirely. By denigrating an article of Hindu faith, Sonia does stand to benefit
by way of 3M support. And she may claim some credit for the damage control exercise.

But, it could also be a diversionary tactic to break the ranks of the opposition with respect to the nuke deal and force all the seculars and communists to keep the secular coalition afloat.

Nevertheless, this is just one more step that the anti-Hindu forces have taken to test the limits of Hindu tolerance.

After all, even contemplating the idea of something as outrageous as reservations for Muslims and Christian converts should have provoked an outbreak of widespread rioting.

Since that kind of reaction failed to happen, the UPA tried a stab at the Hindu faith itself.

This is part and parcel of an incremental exploratory effort to determine what all can be destroyed without eliciting a violent reaction.

Unfortunately, Hindus are paying the price for setting the threshold of tolerance too high.

Sonia is being credited with plotting her chess game three moves in advance. I really don't think politicians think that far ahead. For them only the immediate objective is important, the means be damned. This affidavit business is only something which normally would have gone unnoticed, if it hadn't cropped up in the headlines. Also, the Hindus (not just the BJP) this time got their dander up, which was also unexpected. The intervention and calling of explanations by Sonia-Mataji is only so much hogwash.
