The Serene Calmness of Varanasi: Lord Shiva's own city

I have actually been to Varanasi a few years ago. Its amazing how calm & serene the bathing ghats of the Ganges are. Time definitely stands still there.

And I did see Aurangzeb's mosque built over the temple walls of the original Shiva temple right next to the present new temple. The old Nandi faces the mosque. You can clearly see the green moss covered walls of the old temple over which the white mosque is built.

Nice write-up & a few pics of Kashi, the city of light...

And this is the ancient city that was made a crucible of "ganga jamuni tahzeeb", which means "composite culture" in hindi heartland secular speak.

The city has produced many allegedly moderate muslims, whatever that is.

Please see Robert Spencer’s commentary on Jihad watch regarding the myth of moderate islam :

Of course, none of this is news to us, despite the denial of the Islamic genocide of Hindus by negationist “historians” like Romila Thapar, Irfan Habib et al and the ban, (in secular India) of books like these which are a must read for any student of Indian/ world history:

“Annals and Antiquities of Rajasthan; or the Central and Western Rajput States”
by James Tod, ISBN-10: 8120803809, ISBN-13: 978-8120803800

Incidentally, denial of the Islamic genocide of Hindus ought to be a crime punishable under the Indian Penal Code. Why can’t the BJP ruled state governments in India legislate bans outlawing negation of medieval history, if the Muslim majority state of Kashmir can enact Sharia law while
still remaining in the Indian Union?

I wish Francois Gautier’s Hindu holocaust museum project fructifies into something
like the Jewish holocaust museum in L.A, so that the memory of the Hindu holocaust
is neither forgotten nor forgiven.

And yet, there are many who believe in the myth of "moderate islam", particularly of
the Sufi persuasion.

Hundreds of thousands of Hindus are conned by this misconception into visiting sufi shrines like the dargahs of Ajmer, Nizamuddin.

I personally believe that the sufis were the most violent fanatics who perpetrated psychological warfare on the conquered Hindus for the purpose of Islamic expansion.
They also served as fifth columns in Hindu lands targeted for future conquest – which role they continue to play in the present day, fully subsidized by the Indian taxpayer.
I've heard that the Ajmer dargah actually exists on the site of a sacred Shiva temple (Pushkar, the Hindu name of Ajmer being the land of Prithviraj Chauhan).

Sufi butchers who perpetrated a holocaust on the Hindus and raped our great-great-great....great grandmothers were conferred the title of "Hazrat" and "Ghazi".

Could there be a more shameful spectacle than modern day Hindus circumambulating
and genuflecting at their graves?

And the leader of free India, shikhandi MMS (full credit to Shri. Yashwant Sinha for first
applying the term in the right context) genuflecting before invader Babur's grave,
while on a state visit to Afghanistan?
