speak sanskrit. it's amazingly understandable. i went to a gita conference in trivandrum some years ago, and krishna sastry delivered a speech entirely in sanskrit, and i could understand about 80% of it, so you could imagine what would happen if we spent just a little effort in learning conversational sanskrit the samskrta bharati way.

Because I got inspired to learn Samskritam hearing chamuji (Krishnashastryji) talk in Samskritam at that seminar !!

yes, arun, i believe it was. krishna sastry was just amazing. i too was inspired to learn sanskrit then, but i didn't quite follow up. sigh!
it was quite interesting, a standing-room-only gita conference in the heartland of communism :-)
i happened to meet michel danino there for the first time, too, if i remember right.

by the way, if you are interested, there is a set of CD brought out by rashtriya samskrita sansthaan (a govt organization) in association with SB, based on a series aired in DD ... actually its SB volunteers who teach the classes .. it has 20 hours of instruction and i believe its 1000 Rs in India
