AIDS "pandemic" in India not so serious

jun 7th, 2007

i have been claiming for some time that the AIDS industry in india has been exaggerating the numbers.

they do this for several good reasons:

1. it gives the NGOs (all christist-run, but of course, eg. the bill gates foundation is run by one kerala christist named ashok alexander) a good way of getting money from the government and donors

2. there is a subtle message that (hindu) indians are sinners and in sore need of salvation by said christists, who are, after all, so holy-holy that butter wouldn't melt in their mouths (the occasional rapes and murders of nuns such as sister abhaya notwithstanding)

3. it fits in well with yank prejudices that they are more civilized (see how many yanks were out there according to this news story telling indians all about themselves).

also, this bloody nytimes reporter cannot get his spelling right (anjali gopolan [sic]). just goes to show how little the nytimes cares about accuracy in its reports about india. this may be a legacy of that first-class bigot and idiot barbara crossette who manufactured 'facts' about india (eg. nobody is interested in sports in india. why? well, nobody plays american football in india!)

But of course! We are not as infested with missionaries that preach
against contraception, and people who take their advice, are we? Too
bad, now the world media need to find a different target to accuse us
of. And the best part? Infection rates are 0.6 pc in the United
States, and only 0.3 pc in India. I do feel sorry for the poor NGO.
What will they breast-beat about now?
