Beyond Musharraf?

Ragz,
You are dead on correct about the Yanks and Mushy. Notice hardly a whimper comes out of the Yanks as Mushy fires the Chief Justice of Pakistan and places him under house arrest.

For that matter nothing comes out of the Indian press too. Don't they 'watch Pakistan' like they should? I guess Liz Hurley's ersatz Rajasthani wedding is more important.

The Americans don't care about him killing his own people -- what they care about is whether or not he's playing ball with them. Musharraf has been doing a tightrope walk, trying to make it look like he's doing that, even while he's not. Gradually, the Americans are beginning to catch on, and can see how closely he's consorting with their enemies. His days may soon be numbered.
