Are we to understand that all other nations have deep and abiding love for us?
Any mature nation knows that subterfuge, oneupmanship, espionage etc etc are part of the game.
The CIA and the FBI are not here for love. Anybody reading at random on the internet can learn how deadly and vicious these organizations are.
Btw, Jane's defense weekly tells us many things about India that none of the ELM ever allude to.

This is absolutely true. The problem is, I wonder if our leaders realize this. Thus the Wikileaks, if they reveal anything about Headley, may be of use (to embarrass the government, pressurizing them to be more suspicious of American intentions, far less trustful of their words). Just recall that prior to Headley, the Indian government was green-lighting visas for American/EU/UK citizens when, as is obvious to many, there are plenty of Islamofascists in these countries. The U.S Government actively supports these same Islamofascists (Islamic Republic of Pakistan), thus India must always keep its relationship with the U.S at arms length. Revelations with regards to Headley should hopefully remind India of this fact.

That's why I think we're headed for another Emergency. With all the scandals rolling out one after another, the Kaangress One Party State is resorting to increasingly desperate flailing as it tries to fend off the accumulating pile of muck. In the process, they are increasingly trampling the law and the constitution to hang onto power.
