The Tamil translation seems very much done with in a style that is distinctly pre 1950. The words are in continuous form, rather than presented in small split words.
The missionaries word is translated as 'samayap parappalargal'. This is a general and vague term. He could have used 'Kirittuva madha bodhakargal" which would have been more appropriate.
Also, smaller sentences should have been used in this translation even if the translation may look a little away from the English Original.
IMO, the reach is very important and to this end, this book must be retranslated. No offences meant.
