Dmitry Orlov, an American professor of Russian origin, talks about the coming collapse of the United States, comparing it to the collapse of its superpower counterpart, the USSR. He's got a sense of humour about it, anyway.
this guy is not the only one saying it - S Gurumurthy and his SJM has been saying roughly the same thing i.e. a system based on domination is ecologically, economically and sociologically unsustainable. it is a scary scenario this orlov predicts. if it happens we are all toast - the hans most of all. they have completely raped their agriculture with mega-polluting industries. india may be better off though. we have still have a lot of good agricultural land and consumption is mostly local with short food chains
