South Africa school teacher to student: Hindus go to hell

Anyone who has been schooled in a christist institution in India would recognise this as pretty normal behaviour. There is nothing extra-ordinary about this other than the location of the Hindu student being targeted. The Hindu diaspora deserves to be saluted for the effort to keep it's culture alive in places like South Africa, Fiji and the Caribbean.

I guess that is the difference between Hindus and Muslims. If this statement was made against Muslims, even in Pakistan with emergency and all would have been on streets and rioting...But us Hindus, just read the news item, scoff at the sinners and then move on. We know that every body else is going to hell except hindus.

But then again, I hop that our leaders will put pressure on SA diplomacy to correct this situtation..but then again, our leaders don't bother about hindu sentiment anyways.

To Anoop: So you expect Hindus to come out on streets and riot?
Then what difference will there be between us and those who riot?

When a school teacher makes such comment, it is best to approach that school and rectify it and thats all.

Well, I am not saying what we need to do or not, ut in Hyderabad, similar incidents occured more than once.
A political science teacher happened to criticise islam (in one case the lady teacher was a christist) and u should see the hungama made by the islamists... inspite of the teacher giving a written apology, they saw to it that the teacher was forced to resign and also a police booking a case (hurting religious sentiments).
I agree with both the sentiments, of Anoop and Sri...
We cant be sitting like nothing happened, at the same time we need to differentiate ourselves from the jehadis adn christists.
