thanks harish, this is good stuff. i haven't gone through the videos, only the text stuff.
yes, there is something to culture and civilization. india and china are civilizations that were for centuries were the richest in the world; so we have that racial memory. the latin americans, alas, do not. despite their history of inca, aztec and other such empires, they have been so decimated by christism that their history is completely lost (just as egypt, persia have because of mohammedanism and to some extent china because of communism). the communists and kaaangress are trying to make india also a civilizational zero, of course, all the better for christism, mohammedanism and marxism/communism.
the problem we had was the invasion of the mohammedans, and even more so the invasion of the christists. the former destroyed culture and civilization wherever it went, taking people back to the stone age; but they left industry alone. the latter destroyed all industry and reconfigured the land and water systems for their theft/loot. we have been the biggest victims of semitic barbarism in all history.

If only the Nehruvian state of India let India's entrpreneurs unleash their potential..
There is a question in one these videos by Harvard professor as to why only Asians(Indians, Chinese, Japanese etc) disrupt the global economies and not Latin or African economies..
All the economists have a reason for this.. But my reasoning is simple, Asian countries that have a sense of pride in their culture and history are the only ones that will ever propser and almost all these countries have somethingt to fall back on..and look upto
These are in my opinion the unknown but powerful variables that economists miss in (thier models) my opinion when talking about country's economic potential and strength..
