what a waste!
the entire hydrocarbon economy is extremely harmful to the world: co2 emissions, plastics, petro-dollar-wahabism. we need to find an alternative, and i don't think it's nuclear fission, which will mean the australians and other such undependable people will have a stranglehold based on uranium. the only nuclear thing that makes any sense is thorium-based fast-breeder reactors, but that's only because india has the natural resources in the beach sands. it's still dangerous and radioactive.
