from the mailbox: Baba Ramdev & Brinda : One story, two views !

ethics does not exist in the indian english media.

Namaste,

Look at the way PTI covers news! Is there something called ethics in
journalism? Most of our dailies except Pioneer have reproduced whatever
fed by PTI on this episode. Read two views of the same story to understand
how English media works. More interesting are the readers comments at IE.

Report from IE :
'Baba Ramdev using TV to sell adulterated drugs'
http://www.expressindia.com/fullstory.php?newsid=60836

Report from Pioneer :
Ramdev: Coke and Karat targeting me
http://www.dailypioneer.com/indexn12.asp?main_variable=front%5Fpage&file_name=story2%2Etxt&counter_img=2

This is standard exmaple to show the commies behaviour of hit and run!

Do you have more such examples?

Regards,
Guru

I had written about the downright partiality of PTI earlier on this blog. It didn't catch anybody's attention then. I suspect PTI is full of leftists and marxist-Leninists. The headlines and the tone and tenor of most PTI articles, especially when it contains any of the following words (: BJP, RSS, HINDU, MUSLIM) is utterly mischeious.

It is high time Hindu and India-centric organizations attended to this mischief. For one, force them to drop the word India from their organization's name. A 'PRESS TRUST OF INDIA' byline creates a wrong impression that it is official India. Similarly, could the Hindu organizations take up the newspaper HINDU on its name? Can they take it to the courts? How can a rabidly anti-hindu newspaper go out with the name 'HINDU'?

In this context, pleast note the power of the people. STAR NEWS, which is rabidly anti-hindu, is running minutes of footage about support to Baba Ramdev. No doubt they want to score over NDTV, which is, after all, Brinda Karat's sister's channel. (Please publicise this on every forun you know - let them feel the heat. If devotees of Baba Ramdev stop watching NDTV, they will learn a good lesson).

Note also the statements of Mulayam and Lalu. Lalu, in his inimitable style, claimed that any medicine was fine if people got cured.. That can tell you about the limitations of BJP. BJP people are sanitised politicians. They want to appear nice, just like Nehru wanted to, in 50's. Lalu has no such constraints.

I have a feeling this Ramdev episode will eventually prove to be the beginning of end of CPM.
