Yeah, it's too bad that so many had to die like that. It's also an irony to me that the article quotes a French-Canadian saying. My father had resigned from the regiment 6 months earlier, and was studying in Canada when the hostilities broke out. Nobody he knew survived it. Nehru's idiot lefty defense minister Krishna Menon should have known better.
