Hat tip, the Acorn.
Manmohan may have some sleepless nights, for the poor somali pirates.
Over at the Atlanticists, The BBC, is in utter disbelief. How could a bunch of natives get so uppity as to secure international waters? That is a job for the "developed" West.
As a result -- and in punishment -- the incident becomes a mere "claim", to be written about in "quotes".
What a pathetic bunch.

You have rightly pointed out about the west is in disbelief...
however, there is no record that the ship that Indian navy destroyed was of pirates that's why it is written as claimed.
Manmohan must be so worried as to whether the poor pirates would have been indulging in their prayers when their ship sank.
Also, what will they do for a living now? Hmmm, time for a tete a tete with the chief of armed forces. Maybe TR Baalu will now pressure more Indian ships to go that way and get caught as these poor Somalis need to survive! they are humans too ....
Here's some related info from a few days ago:

Hat's off to Indian Navy..
This would be an event unrepeated in India's history.. since the Chola times when some Chola naval warships might have repelled Sri Vijaya pirates..
Great! The only issue I have is that, why is a spanking-new state-of-the-art frontline capital warship such as INS Tabar being used to go after pirates? The same job could be done with less expensive corvettes and/or even missile boats which are armed to the teeth.
INS Tabar is meant to fight and sink PLAN and PN warships and subs.
it is a good on job training for indian navy...unlike simulated naval exercises. i know there is a big cost involved, but if it enhances the learning curve the expense is worth it. but in return we get a name and other navies would know the puch. yes u are right we cannot do this forever, once we made a statement we can go for smaller fire power
Here's a good article:

In the US the talk shows, left, right and centre are all atwitter about the Indian Navy! Opinion ranging from Michael Savage all the way to Keith Olberman is talking about India taking a strong step tto put an end to this nonsense. Coming as it does after planting the tricolour on the Moon and now this, expecially at a time when China is left with huge sweatshops and no customers (no one is interested in lead infested toys, poisoned milk, and cheap electronics junk in the US) it's the time to shrug off the tag of Manmoronism. The BBC is as usual way behind the curve and is irrelevant.
