parakramam not on a woman, yo wicked manmohan!

nov 20th, 2008

when the wicked kamsa attempted to dash the 8th child of devaki against a stone, she slipped out of his hands, ascended to the heavens, and spoke thus to him:

arey durachara nrsamsa kamsa!
parakramam streekalodalla vendu!

(i don't remember which classical malayalam work this comes from).

it means:

yo, malevolent wicked kamsa!
your might is not to be practiced on a woman!

this is most appropriate for the durachara nrsamsa manmohan singh -- don't show your parakramam on that young sadhvi!

it is a cliche, but in indian culture, women are shown a lot of respect.

but then manmohan singh wouldn't know about this, as he is a dhimmi and a crypto-semite as part of the bargain with sonia nehru that lets him hang on like a leech to the prime minister's chair. so he's following ratzy and the mohammedans in treating women as chattel, meant to be "barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen".

manmohan must be really unhappy now that the christist nun abhaya's murderers -- they tried hard to get her pregnant by gang-raping her and they attacked her in the kitchen, and she probably was barefoot -- 'father' kottoor, 'father' puthruka, and 'sister' sefi have been arrested. i am sure the hotlines between ratzy's office and sonia nehru's office are constantly busy.

but in reality the parakramam the 'fathers' imposed on the poor 21-year-old nun abhaya was also not appropriate.

thanks, drisya for correcting the slight error in the quote and providing the origin.

the additional stanza reads:

thy terminator is already born;
search for him everywhere.

kunchan nambiar was an awesome poet, a witty and sharp commentator on contemporary matters as well as on scriptural themes. he even invented a whole new art form, the ottan thullal, a rapid-fire derivative of classical kathakali, where the single performer delivers stinging criticism -- as a vidooshaka -- of the powers that be.

manipravalam -- literally a necklace of gems and coral, which indicated medieval poetry that was a pleasing mixture of sanskrit and malayalam (or, for tamils, sanskrit and tamil).
