Moonshot

Here's Chandrayaan-1's very first shot of the Moon, taken from a distance of 70,000 km.
You may have already seen its first picture of the Earth, also taken from 70,000 km above it.

The idea that India now sends satellites to the moon still seems so unreal..to think a 'poor nation' inspite of everything going against it.. has come this far..is a tribute to the men and women who actually put 'Country First'!..When is India going to get the "Change that we can believe in"!! :-)

ISRO as an organisation owes its success to some of India's top brains and nationalists like Brahm Prakash,Satish Dhawan, Kalam heading it at some point of time.

Its one of those extremely rare examples of Indian govt oranisations that have been led by men of eminence and delivered the goods against all obstacles...

Hats off to them!

Why is there Rajiv Feroz Ghandi's picture on ISRO's website? What has he done for IS and R? Was he an astronaut or researcher or scientist? Pathetic!
