It is astonishing that Manmohan and Lalu Pradad Yadav want to put Raj Thackeray in the slammer for "inciting regional/communal/sectarian (take your pick) sentiments".
That is the intellectual equivalent of Josef Goebbels and Heinrich Himmler pronouncing petty Waffen SS lieutenant guilty of being a "Jew Killer".
For make no mistake, that is what Manmohan is -- he has the blood of thousands of innocent indians on his hands, all thanks to his "mohammedans first" policy.
And as for Lalu, one need not revisit his litany of terror, extortion, murder and large scale loot.
Atanu Dey has an excellent post on this here. He's right -- Raj is merely the symptomatic outcome of 60 years of kkkangress misrule.

As a North Indian, I too feel sympathetic for Raj Thakre, in the sense that his state is bearing the brunt of migration brought on by not all states doing their fair share to promote development. This is not unlike how Sindhis feel unhappy at getting swamped by Mohajirs. The least others could do is express some recognition of this fact, instead of only heaping scorn on the Marathas.
When we look at the aggressive support for Hindi by Indian media elites (eg. bollywood, etc), I can't help but notice the invisible influence of the Urdu-speaking demographic behind it, due to the fact that Hindi is most easily interchangeable with Urdu. Given the cultural aggressiveness of the Islamic bloc, it's only natural that they would lend a hand to pushing Hindi forward ahead of them, as a front.
Meanwhile, the corollary to that is that many Hindi movies these days are vehicles for Muslim stars and Muslim issues.
It reminds me of how Atlanticists are big proponents of China, whom they hope will advance their interests against Russia. Meanwhile they're all secretly hoping to convert the Chinese to Catholicism.
Raj, is nothing but a prop of the congress. This is an important point missed by the author. MMS is the dirtiest and deadliest PM ever selected. The sooner we vote him out the better
People seem to be considering Raj to be a trouble maker. If you pay close attention to what he is actually saying and ignore what people in the media want you to think of him, you will find he has a very valid reason to be doing what he is doing.
Laloo Yadav, an idiot, is the prime originator of this crisis. When it was made known before that the local population be made aware of the railway exams through ads in the local marathi newspapers, laloo and his railways ministry chose to continue to not advertise for the jobs in Maharashtra but only in Bihar. No one seems to have an answer why the local candidates were not prefered to candidates in Bihar.
I see a big disconnect between what the hindi and english media say and the marathi pupulation in maharashtra. The more people insult raj Thakeray, the more likely it is that he will do well in the coming elections. It might indeed be a possibility that he becomes a CM of Maharashtra if he continues to find support in his constituencies like he is right now. This will make the english and hindi media even more irrevelant.
The BJP needs to play its cards carefully. Raj Thakeray may be on his way to replace Bal Thekarey. It must leave its options open and not come down on Raj too much.
I agree that some of Rajs actions may not be all that pleasant, but it looks his cause is finding appeal.
India is a diverse country. We need to maintain diversity and not let one linguistic group dominate media, cinema, literature and traditions. Raj seems to be fighting to preserve a part of this diversity, which is a good thing.
