The way for BJP to fend off these attacks, is to have some robust media muscle. Like the old saying, "don't bring a knife to a gunfight", we seem to be woefully under-equipped on the media warfront. We'd better come up with an effective strategy to address this. Otherwise, we'll be reeling from every small attack that shows up, like a Bubble Boy with no natural defenses.

The Deep State hypothesis fits best. Obviously, the Deep State cannot be targeted, but there is no reasoning or tactical retreat with "it" either. The instruments of the Deep State should definitely be made to feel lots of pain.

As San says, BJP needs to up its media management because they're essentially dealing with the inventors of PR. Also, therefore, in case the likes of Apco, who were allegedly assisting Modi, are still doing so, they need to be fired.

Well, I'm not sure what's meant by the Deep State - when I hear that, I think of the Atlanticists and those co-opted by them. In that regard, I think Trump is a breath of fresh air, since he's more of a nationalist than an Atlanticist, he's willing to get along with Putin, and isn't a NATO-centric fellow. If Trump becomes president, the Atlanticists will be side-lined, and not only will the US benefit, but India will also reap benefits in terms of a more favorable international environment.

i use #deepstate to mean the entire military-industrial-media-church complex in the west, which has every intention to maintain white dominance over the rest of us. like george kennan or 'x', who formulated the dictum "america has 8$ of the world's population and enjoys 50% of its resources. our foreign policy is intended to keep it that way", although that is a apocryphal story per se.
