To his credit, Akhilesh Yadav seems to be quite different than his thuggish father Mulayam. Hopefully he will at least try to clean up his party, to make them less of a blot on the political landscape there.
Personally, I'm quite glad that the little Prince and his Family got rejected. They all spent a lot of time campaigning in UP, and the results completely rubbish their pretensions to regaining that state.
And the other big Madam - the louder fatter one - also got thrashed. Just in time for all her statues to be torn down.
It's a backward state anyway, but if Mulayam's Australian-educated kid Akhilesh can do a Nitish Kumar and clean up the crap there, then maybe there's a possibility of an entente between him and BJP, as occurred in Bihar.
