I really want to know: why didn't they use the EVM fraud brahmastra?

It's not that they have suddenly become ethical. Or dumb. They know how to subvert elections, and this one was big. So there's something more, and it worries the hell out of me. When's the other shoe going to drop? What faustian bargain has been struck?

They were probably too overconfident, given all of Rahul's boasting of his popularity in UP. They thought they could pull it off 'au naturel'. Now they're naked and exposed, with their privates flapping in the wind.

May be they are saving for general elections. To maintain credibility, they can't be doing it all the time.

I think that the reason is: they must have figured out that the way to obtain a "healthy" number of Congi winners (to make Rh+ look good), way too many candidates will have to be declared winners. This simply translates into way too many machines to be hacked - geographically distributed - something that can be achieved if only there is a strong, committed and trustworthy clandestine network of party people willing to put their lives in front for the Rh+. Such camaraderie is unheard of in Congress.

Deccan Chronicle always comes up some crap headlines esp. anti-Hindu matter on Hindu festivals.

This was not as vitriolic as earlier ones... but the title and inside matter is so mis leading...

Title mentions: "India is unlikely superpower"

on further reading u come across that it was a study by LSE - London School of Economics... well, one can expect the Limeys to come up with such stuff... but wait... the author is not some white guy, but a brown servant... RC Guha..

I am suspicious too - but they got the job done by using the cat's paw (aka mulayam and son) ...it is fishy that no newspaper / pollsters predicted a Mulayam sweep, and yet it happened.
