The whole West still swallows the myth with shameless abandon and then the article goes on to say this :

"It is not news that Pakistan has a lunatic fringe."

and we know where it is headed. Pull the other one, TIME ! Regurgitating self-serving tosh and doctrinaire pacifism makes for a dim journalist. Lumping this AB with Burkha et al sounds fine.

Some Goras seem to be having a epiphany but what about the Desi establishment? I doubt it.

All of this western fury is just because the blasphemy law is being applied to x'tians. It didn't matter to the goras when hindus were ethnically cleaned in Pakistan... sadly it didn't matter to hindus in India either, and so who can fault them for showing solidarity to their co-religionists. I liked the dig at Jinnah and at the Taseer pere for essentially setting the precedence for the murderer Qadri being openly hero-worshiped today. Such extremism is nothing new under the sun for the subcontinent's muslims, but it was typicaly directed at hindus. The only irony of the situation (or the sense of schadenfreude) stems from observing it consume the Pakistani elite who stoked these hatreds in the first place.
