integrity, prime ministers, resignation: japanese PM quits because he couldn't keep campaign promise

jun 1, 2010

manmohan singh would not recognize integrity, honesty and accountability if it were presented to him on a platter with watercress around it, and then it jumped up and bit him on the nose. indians who voted for him deserve him.

the japanese, i have often noted, are honorable people.

fortunately for takayama, he did not have to do 'seppuku', ie ritual disemboweling. in the old days, he'd have had to.

in india, if the PM did not utter gross lies on a daily basis, we'd be satisfied. this guy is the worst PM in history, because he has lied and cheated about absolutely everything and presided over moral corruption in government. he is even worse than jawaharlal "First Prime Minister TM" nehru. at least nehru had the excuse that he was an idiot. this guy isn't -- he knows what he's doing, and he's doing it because it is undoubtedly enriching him. otherwise why is he not revealing all the secret swiss accounts. otherwise why doesn't he fire the obviously rotten DMK minister a raja? well, that's because he will hold on to his PM ship by all means -- including EVM fraud, wholesale bribery of the entire bureaucracy through the pay commission, anything else.

yet the media says he is an honorable man. doubtless it is because of the crumbs they get.

and there are some commentators who say the same. doubtless they are swayed by the propaganda.

if indian PMs resigned when they reneged on promises, we'd have resignations every week. japan's PM shows integrity.
