he is right, on three counts, although it may not be what he means:
1. hindu india is truly secular, in that people do not use religion as a weapon to oppress others, as mohdans and xists do
2. in the prevailing false meaning of 'secularism' as it is used in india, that is anti-hinduism, india is very 'secular'. the govt enforces anti-hinduism all over
3. if you are a mohdan, in no society in the world are you so privileged as you are in india. an average mohdan is treated as a piece of crap in most mohdan countries. he has no rights -- the higher-caste, royalty types crap all over him, as in pakistan or saudi arabia. but in india the average mohdan can lord it over the average hindu, and in relative terms he is far more privileged.

His source of funding should be investigated. Exactly what does he do, what his efforts are supposed to achieve, and who pays him for that?
The pope called the raids carried out by Belgian police investigating priestly sex abuse "surprising and deplorable".
Rajeev,
Any views on petrol deregulation?
This is the first decision of the UPA government I wholeheartedly support.
If Arabs keep hiking prices and the government takes all the burden, then the people have no incentive to use fuel wisely and we are just making the Arabs richer. In a way, petrol price deregulation reduces the venture funding for terrorism.
