Theatre of War

In the face of more frequent and bolder US incursions, the Pakistani govt is descending ever deeper into cheap theatrics, to shore up their desperate position. Now they are even putting on a show of scrambling air force jets to "intercept" US predator drones overflying their territory. I wonder how long it will take the duffers in the US Congress to figure out that plying Pakistan with more F-16s is not as fabulous an idea as orginally thought. Poetic justice of course, but still not too bright as a strategy.

By way of recollection, does anyone remember the comical sight of the Iraqi Information Minister defending his country's sovereignty back in 2002? I'm thinking that the way things are going, the Pakistani military should make him their next Inter-Services spokesman.
