Dear Messrs. xxxx:

I read with deep interest and growing amazement, your editorial titled "Endless Terrorism?" in "xxx", September 2008, pages 6-8. To put it in two sentence, you are saying that the terrorist blasts in Coimbatore, Mumbai (several times), Varanasi, Jaipur, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, and Delhi, and all over the world, are the fault of the Hindus in India. That it is all due to "unfairness" to Muslims.

This is an interesting thesis. So those 5-year-old orphans weeping for their parents, those commuters blinded or otherwise disabled by bombs, that fruit-vendor woman shown lying dead in the Ahmedabad street, the old lady lying crumpled up at a Bangalore bus-stop, all have one thing in common - it's their fault, since they failed to ensure perfect "fairness" in society, Mr. x?

When the terrorists blow up someone near and dear to you, how are you going to rationalize that? "Revenge for the Crusades"? Revenge for 1947? 1948? 1965? 1971? 1973? 1982? 1984? 1999? 2001? 2002? 2003? 2004?

Mohammed Atta and his 18 co-jehadis were not brought up in "unfairness". They came from rich Saudi families. Many of the Pakistanis arrested and charged with terrorism are from the top 1% of Pakistani society. The Generals who organize, train and plan terror attacks are billionaires who enjoy far more than "equal" rights. The Indian film stars tried and convicted for their part in the 1993 bombings in Mumbai were hardly the victims of "unfairness". The funding for terrorism comes from incredibly rich Saudis and Pakistanis and others of their "religious" beliefs all around the world - beliefs which see anything less than their complete possession of the entire world as "unfairness" punishable by Death to The Unbelievers.

Where are the intelligence or honesty in your claims that the solution to terrorism is in appeasing the terrorists more?

I do not believe for a moment that either of you rich dudes are so stupid as to believe the stuff you have published. So can we have a moment of honesty for a change,  please? You, sirs, are pandering to the terrorist scum, for a few more dollars of advertising revenue from those who also contribute to the Lashkar-e-Toiba and other such "fairness" organizations.

With all due respect, your editorial is beneath contempt, for its blatantly pandering motivation. Hope you enjoy the advertising revenue and adulation from your patrons.

xx
