How sick is this govt.? They released coins of रु 2 denomination with cross on them a few months ago. There was even a clandestine move to change Bharat's national motto from "Satya Mev Jayate". And now an emblem which shows a book with blank pages, and apparently two human forms emerging from globe. The crescent (an Islamic symbol) and two crosses and stars (Christian) are obvious on it. Wow, anything goes in the name of feigned Secularism.

We, the Bharatiya-Americans condemn this toxifying anti-Hindu attitude of the Indian govt. to remove Goddess Saraswati's and National flower symbol to replace with christian-islamist-abrahamic symbols in the name of modernity. We all know Bharat in Vedic times was much more modern and it is completely nonsecular and communal to remove the symbol of Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of all Knowledge. As Mr. Murli Joshi puts it perfectly, "The previous emblem in fact reflected the Indian ethos. Lotus is a symbol of 1857 War of Independence and we always associate the sun with progress, innovation, spiritual, and endeavor."

US has never removed alleged Masonic symbols from $1 bill even after 300 years in the name of modernity. It was given by the founding fathers of US then why is Congress toxifying and communalising the education in Bharat. We deject such communal and political nit picking by corrupt communal Congress to play cheap politics and to destroy Hindu heritage and religion. Don't be surprised if they name this resp. institution KVS, like they have done with IIMs, after any Nehru-Ghandi name and put their picture in the logo. Development does not mean you destroy Hindu religious heritage and recognition. Jai Mata Saraswati!

The following by Sri.Gurumurthy is the most accurate reporting I feel of what actually happened in Orissa:

" Kandhamal competes with Bengaluru "

If possible you should post it fully in your blog.

Why does neither article actually show the logo?

I don't think it is justified to remove grand old symbols of knowledge and advancement just in the name of globalization. US has never removed alleged Masonic symbols from $1 bill or Eagle from most of its emblems even after 300 years in the name of modernity. In the latter's case it was designed or chosen by the founding fathers of US. But in the formers case these symbols have been associated with education for centuries then who is Arjun Singh to decide that these are antiquated and wouldn't even call for a public debate.

If thats not the case, then can we please have someone else on the Indian currency notes other than MK Gandhi, now that guy's picture and name is overdone (rather than his principles and will to do). And I don't mean to demean his contribution to our freedom struggle but hey there were other people too who fought for the independence, may be in their own way.

Do you think the BJP will restore the old symbol or act to cancel the action of introducing the cross on the 2 rupee coin? The answer is NO.

These dhimmi bastards' attitude has resulted in some more blasts. I think atleast this time I expect BJP to put up a very very strong opposition either this spineless Manmoron singh takes action or resign, and let Modi become the PM. I dont have confidence in Advani, as he is also a soft guy.
One more revenge is execute Afzal, just imagine, what kind of signal it is going to send to these terrorists.

I also prefer Sri.Narendra Modi to anyone else.I cherish the way he was introduced in Chennai by Cho:

" I welcome the merchant of death to – corruption, official apathy, terrorism, darkness and despair...." and the cheers reached a roaring crescendo.

Hadvani is another hajpayee.Would bend over backwards to appease in the name of secularism. When benazir escaped the first attack , Hadvani made passionate queries about her safety ; gave some speech in marthoma church in Kerala; also claimed muslims would be " looked after well" if he came to power.

Why this singling out? When our Border Security Personnel were massacred and tied up like carcasses to bamboo poles Hadvani, the Home Minister was unfazed. He played the apologist to begum k zia citing her electoral compulsions(

Can't we have some fresh , spirited , no nonsense gutsy leaders?

The same old ministers fill me with ennui and despair.

I am all for Modi ji as PM. But I think the reason why Advani is bending over is because Hindus are not united for electing BJP with full majority. The reason why communal corrupt Congress is batting for muslim appeasement is simple. First Hindus are not united and second Muslims are 20% of total population and third they vote in 100% batches.

As per all the recent Lok Sabha elections, out of 100% population, 40% people vote. And this vote is also fractured so who so ever can make up 21% (hence 51%) by jod-tod makes the govt. Out of this 21%, whosoever has 11% or more rules the collation. Hence, a party with 11% vote rules and abuses the country for 5 years. So if congress can create so much fear in the heads of Muslims and make them so anti-BJP (which trust me I can see on every forum and news sites as their attitude, so congress has succeeded) then this 20% vote can make them come back to power and most likely with full majority.

Do we want that? No. Can we stop that? Yes. How? Spread the message, unite and vote.

Related to what "HumanBeing said" regarding "Lok Sabha Elections":
The Election Process itself is sabotaged and corrupted, usually by the ruling political group.
Some methods used for sabotage of “voting” are revealed in the following:
Democracy redefined as Sambhal votes ["Election Special", The Statesman, February 24, 1998] Deepsikha Ghosh, reporting from Sambhal on the parliamentary election there: “…All it took was a bottle of hydrogen peroxide to rub off that "indelible" imprint of democratic right. Age was no bar in the process where only numbers mattered. … In a corner room at the Azamgarh polling station, women [?] covered head-to-toe in black burqas dipped their ink-stained fingers in hydrogen peroxide chemical and furiously rubbed them clean. Then they rejoined the queue. The same set of women voted nine times before tiring off.”

Ink winked at them [The Statesman, Delhi Durbar, 2 October 1999] An Election Returning Officer revealed that a candidate had ensured he had enough number of bogus voters and vehicles to transport them. But the “indelible-ink remover” started failing. In the last hour of polling, the bogus voters were unable to remove the ink mark from their fingers. Panicked “party workers” rushed from booth to booth with replacements.

ELECTORAL REFORM [Sam Rajappa, The Statesman, 5 October 1999] “... Staggered election has made it possible for political parties to transport professional impersonators from other constituencies who had already cast their votes in one phase, to cast votes again in another phase. For instance, Chennai city which went to the polls on 11 September saw an influx of about 100,000 people to cast their votes a second time by impersonation. ... ”

There are news reports indicating that the chemicals needed for removing the “indelible” ink stain are supplied in the form of an “election kit” to “party workers”. Their manufacture seems to be a sort of cottage industry. (Manufacture of bombs has also now become a cottage industry.) What use is this “indelible ink” except as a tool for branding voters like animals before they are sent in for slaughter? Where is the statutory requirement that one should get his fingernail and cuticle stained before one can exercise his fundamental right?
I have also questions about the working of the “Electronic Voting Machines”.
First, are they really tamper proof?
Second, is the voting process using EVM tamper proof? Are the machines that reach the counting centres the same as the ones that were used in the voting booths?
Third, is there any real protection against “booth capturing”, vote rigging, and so on?
Fourth and last, a specific query. According to the widely publicised information, after the voter has “voted” by pressing the appropriate button on the EVM, the election official in charge of the booth has to press a button another button to make the machine record the vote and complete the process. When the official presses his button, the voter in the booth is supposed to hear a beep. When I voted the last time, I didn’t hear the beep, but the official assured me that the job had been done. Does the voter have any method to ascertain whether his vote has been recorded, other than the official’s word?
In one sentence, I DON’T TRUST THE ELECTORAL PROCESS. But, I still have to vote, with the hope that the votes of millions like me would make a difference.

More revealing is the video on the IBN site that briefly shows the logo. What is disturbing is to see how biased the IBN report is. No mention is made of the crosses or the cresent like features (the supposed man and woman) that people are objecting to. It is made to appear that the logo is part of the "detoxification" campaign of Dhimmi-in-chief Arjun Singh with the bit about detoxification being spoken about as fact like gravity. Makes the blood boil

>>so much fear in the heads of Muslims>>

humanbeing,

Fear & muslims don't go together. They are the craftiestest. They are so pampered particularly in India that existence as indolent bloated parasites suits them well. They know they are above law.A Nanda would get sentenced for drunken driving & killing. Whereas salman khans, saif khans ,( bollywood's rajkumar's son, mahendra kapoor's grandson, sanjay dutt are all mighty untouchables)would never get a proportionate punishment.

Same for converted christians of India. And the politicians.

Orissa's cm , police and congresswalas need to be held accountable for failing to ensure protection for Swamiji.Don't they ensure protection for themselves?

I agree with witan. This election is one big dubious charade. Most are outrageously corrupt.

It is unmitigated fraud as left would fight against say, X party at state level but would ally at the centre!

BJP ought to spell uneqivocally it would do away with Article 370, liberate all Hindu Temples from the clutches of govt ,not a paisa as haj subsidy , reinstate Kashmiri Pundits in Kashmir etc.

I have serious doubts. To borrow Ashok Malik's words we would have to put up with " dollops of continuity ".

Sharing the comments of a Hindu in another site:

"..... I just wish the Jihadis had successfully targeted Parliament, where outside the Parliament, one bomb was diffused. If politicians had to pay with their blood, instead of average citizens paying with theirs, they would not be taking such half baked measures against Jihad. In India's case, that's exactly what it'll take ".

Logo of "Indian Mujahideen"
Just a few minutes back I had a fleeting glimpse of the logo of Indian Mujahideen on NDTV, and was immediately struck by the similarity to Kendriya Vidyalaya’s ew "Crescent Cross" emblem.
Is it a mere coincidence, or did the same persons design both?
