India is starting to become a hub for smartphone manufacturing, which makes sense given that it's got one of the largest smartphone consumer markets in the world:

This is a key area where India can make the leap into electronics manufacturing, and develop its own thriving ecosystem for homegrown hardware innovation. This in turn would have tremendous ripple effects on other sectors like defense and aerospace, as well as Make-in-India as a whole.
