interesting. it is because of brutal behavior by the 'dravidian' type middle-caste converts. so much for bloody 'social justice'. the oppressors in this case are the vanniyar converts. not brahmin converts.
this supports my contention that blaming brahmins for oppression is generally a canard these days. the brahmins are generally oppressed themselves. it is the middle-castes, usually shudras in tamil nadu and kerala, who are and have been the real oppressors.
