"Among the activists who formed part of the delegation were Amit Bhaduri, Professor JNU, social activist Medha Patkar, Magsaysay Awardees Sandeep Pandey and Arvind Kejriwal, retired DU professor Uma Chakravarty (who has also done commendable work on 1984 pogroms), former Ambassador Madhu Bhaduri, DU’s Nivedita Menon, Panjab University’s Gopal Iyer and media activist Manish Sisodia...."
Look what another "eminent intellectual" has to say:
"What has happened to him is a very dangerous signal for all of us as we are beginning to see the results of a society that is becoming a police society, where every problem is approached as a military problem. This is happening in Northeast where the public security act and the armed forces special powers act are enforced."
ROTFL. Stealth christist Arundhati Roy actually thinks that the softest of soft states, namely Indian dhimmocracy is turning into a "police state" !!! Whereas, in the real world, Maovadi terrorists are in de facto control of some 160 districts across the nation and strike at will at the time and location of their choosing, routinely massacring security personnel and collecting "protection money" from government agencies for "permission" to operate in their "revolutionary zones". Sorry, Miss Roy but that is the definition of anarchy that warrants a "military solution" (gasp) from the Gandhian welfare state, notwithstanding the mournful breast beating by you and your fellow travellers.

It is well known that Suzanne Arundhati Roy is a plagiarist. The Western "liberals" claim that USA is a police state. So she just downloads those reports and replaces USA by India.
That is how she got the story of tearing apart the stomach of a pregnant woman and killing the fetus. It was in some report about atrocities by US soldiers in Vietnam. The claim has appeared in various reports including a report about East Timor, one on Kashmir, another on former Yugoslavia, etc. Suzanne Arundhati Roy's claim was most likely taken from one of these reports. That is why she furiously backtracked when she was asked for proof.
Another plagiarist seems to be Romila Thapar (along with Michael Witzel). They claimed that they were called "race traitors." This term is not used by Indians and if you Google for it, you will find that the only place where this term appear in the context of Indians is in their article. Clearly, they lifted this claim from elsewhere.
