times uk slams chidambaram's budget for the wrong reasons

the budget sucks for other reasons: doesn't do a thing to contain inflation, and nothing for the middle class. the money from the education cess will go into the pockets of politicians, into dumb job-creation (aka pork-barrel) schemes, and into subsidies for mohammedans.

if it truly were doing something for the rural masses or for agriculture, i'd applaud it. but it ain't.
