Secularists in Gujarat - if only he exresses regret - we would be proved right!

http://specials.rediff.com/news/2007/mar/01sld1.htm

This piece is so in keeping with the usual drivel dished out by the secular press establishment. They started with studied indifference (on the Godhra massacre); moved to self-righteous indignation (when the few that covered the massacre asked questions) ; thence to denunciation (on the riots that followed); followed by fantastically twisted rationalisation (on the re-election of Modi) - and now this!

If only he stops his personality cult and apologised - if only he expressed regret - it would prove we were right all along!!!

Of course Modi has nothing to be sorry about. Not only for his record on economic management which is impressive enough - but on being the first to move the pieces so that he- and not the 'secularists' - is the one setting the rules and dictating terms

most disgusting comment in the report:
Of course, anti-incumbency, economic failures, emergence of competitive politics, receding fears in the Hindu psyche and the inevitable resurfacing of the caste divide can incrementally create fissures among Gujarati Hindus, but such a process will be gradual.

This bimbo is praying
for economic failure and caste conflict, just about anything, to see Modi defeated.
My prayer for all sickular bimbos
May you, your daughters and granddaughters live under sharia law!!! Amen

"Riots erupted across India following the murder of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, as Hindus took their revenge on Sikhs who were blamed for the assassination."

Congress Party = Hindu ?! As bad as saying "the Hindu" has anything to do with being hindu

Ha - look Mishti Doi from Bengal

Buddhadeb refers to Modi success

In a note to the Left Front partners, Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee has pointed out Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi’s ability to attract investments, never mind his politics, and suggested that Bengal “should not sit idle”.

He has been bringing the highest investment to the state for years. Riots may be taking place, but investments are also flowing. Should we sit idle?” the chief minister has asked in the note, forwarded to the allies by front chief Biman Bose.

If Bengal manages to get investments - they should thank Modi for putting competitive pressure on the elitist Kolkata centered Bengali leadership

Next time any commie yaps about Modi - throw this on their faces

lovely slashdot discussion

Ramanujan's Deathbed Problem Cracked

""Mathematicians have finally laid to rest the legendary mystery surrounding an elusive group of numerical expressions known as the 'mock theta functions.' Number theorists have struggled to understand the functions ever since... Ramanujan first alluded to them in a letter written [to G. H. Hardy] on his deathbed, in 1920. Now, using mathematical techniques that emerged well after Ramanujan's death, two number theorists at the University of Wisconsin-Madison have pieced together an explanatory framework that for the first time illustrates what mock theta functions are, and exactly how to derive them."

And in that scientific research vein, here's a story about

Open Access to Research Publications

To me, initiatives like this are extremely important to India, where numerous academics, researchers and even students simply cannot afford the high price of scientific journals and publications. That some publishers are seeking to keep everyone else in darkness just to perpetuate their own publishing monopoly is really despicable.

Where have all the Indian mathematicians gone? (sing to the tune of where have all the cowboys gone!!?

Why is it that there is not a single Indian's name in any of major mathematical dicoveries/progress news?
There are as usual eastern Europeans even chinese (/origin)but not a single desi.

My guess, our brightest are more interested (by choice or by pressure) in selling carbonated sugar syrup.
