there are some perfectly good and pious christists. the problem is with christism: they worship a false god, and it is a false religion -- rather it is an empty, imperialistic death-cult.

Of course, what this former "pastor" realized was that Christianity was a false religion and not any different from a cult. It was his innate rationalism and decency that came to the fore again after so many years.
