boycott wisden!
i have been clear that i consider cricket an infernal nuisance and a bore but it is a good cash-cow for some white guys. i have long claimed that it is entirely financed by indians, and therefore indians should kick the whites' butts if they dare argue. here's the atlanticist admitting the same. dammit, you cricket fans, why aren't you exerting your buyer power to ensure that the game goes as you wish? (i mean, if you want your team to win all the time it's easy enough. you can make it happen by deserting all games when india has been kicked out of some tournament. this will kill ad revenues, so next time they'll fix it so that india goes all the way to the final).

I totally agree with you. Cricket, as in its current form, is kinda boring and lacks instincts you get see in other sports. I do agree that cricket administrators are trying to cash in popularity of cricket in India in particular and Indian subcontinent in general. I like it when BCCI tried to stick to ICC by arranging their own schedule and scuttled bogus 10 year plan by ICC. I used to hate when cricketing authorities made India play minnows like Bangladeshis, Kenya etc on their grounds just to milk sponsorship money from Indians.
Amazing thing with pricing for cricket telecast in the USA is, when India plays it is never less than $199 or so, but when India is not playing, it is $49 for entire summer. Go Figure!
Its about time India flexed its muscle in Cricketing world and push other teams around...but then again, our BCCI is headed by dimwits who are not administrators but politicians..who don't have any sense of greater good.
PS: I liked when Aussies pushed Sharad Pawar out of the dais...I would have loved to see it live, but it was fun to watched later on.
