i have become quite wary of these self-promoting victim-syndrome-types. a good example is kancha ilaiah, who is not even an SC/ST, but has unilaterally declared himself an SC/ST messiah.
in particular, caste is a good organizing principle. and it is nowhere near as corrosive as a) racism, perfected by christists, b) dhimmi-making and gender oppression, perfected by mohammedans, c) exploitation and oppression of illiterates, perfected by marxists and mohammedans and christists.
my experience is that the most casteist people in india are:
a. marxists
b. christists
c. high sudras
d. low sudras (OBCs)
e. brahmins
in that order. i dont have much experience of vaishyas and kshatriyas, them being absent in kerala.
