CLICK FOR VIDEO: In conversation with Vivek Agnihotri I recently had an intellectually stimulating conversation with the award-winning filmmaker, Vivek Agnihotri, who's recent film "Buddha in a Traffic Jam" has created a huge controversy in India. He has challenged the old gurad of Indian "intellectuals" controlling media, NGOs, Literary Festivals and other important channels of information flow. This has made him exceedingly controversial and a target of many physical and verbal attacks. We discussed many topics, such as: - Whether India's recent success in capitalism is sustainable
- Whether "jugada", the Indian approach to improvising and innovating is enough to build robust institutions
- Whether Capitalism or Socialism are entirely applicable to India, or whether these are Westwern imports being forced upon us
- Whether traditional Bharat offers ideas and systems that could be modernized and made relevant for today
- Whether India's population explosion and the youth are an asset or liability.
We discussed my book, "Breaking India", that also deals with anti-national forces, both India'based and foreign. Please watch and post your comments.
