Now that Saudi & its allies are becoming more assertive against Iran, it could increase our leverage in the region. On the other hand, China+Pak are wooing Iran with pipeline offers, but on the other hand, India+Iran have been developing Chabahar port as an alternative to Pak's Gwadar. Saudi is obsessed with Iran, and had always financed Pak as a potential ally against Iran. Now that Pak has let Saudi down rather badly by refusing to send troops to Yemen, ties with Pak will continue to be downgraded. In my opinion, these trends make support for Baloch independence much more likely.
