Well, it matters for EU-Brexit issues - even though Merkel has said EU accepts the Brexit vote, and wishes Britain's departure to be swift and orderly, the latest Tory debacle could throw a wrench in that. Also, the Trump administration is looking toward the UK to rekindle Anglo-Americanism as the cornerstone for US foreign policy. A divided UK may mean the balance of power is shifted back towards Brussels again.
