those that #chormedia and 'civil society' ignore: endosulfan victims in kerala

see and weep for these forgotten people.

http://www.thehindu.com/news/states/kerala/article1704096.ece

the spraying was done by the kerala government a couple of decades ago.

india -- sort of like the US opposes the banning of landmines -- is the only country that does not support the ban. and the ban is opposed if i remember right to maintain the jobs of workers at hindustan insecticides, cochin. redeploy those people! don't destroy the lives of many to save a few jobs!

endosulfan sounds like agent orange or even radiation -- bio-accumulation, long-term health effects.

i compared it to minamata disease in this column. http://www.rediff.com/news/column/children-of-a-lesser-god/20110207.htm see how the japanese government and the company responsible took care of the victims.

Early Christian Lead Codices Now Called Fakes

"Never has there been a discovery of relics on this scale from the early Christian movement, in its homeland and so early in its history," reported the BBC.

"The 'British archaeologist' who is named as apparently trying to get these things into a Jordanian museum and who is one of the few who has actually seen them, one David Elkington, is not an archaeologist," said Kimberley Bowes, a Greek and Roman archaeologist at the University of Pennsylvania.
