"sound and fury, signifying nothing": epitaph for hazare sideshow

apr 12th, 2011 CE

with the 'great victory' won by anna hazare, and the 'historic win' by the indian cricket team, we have now officially buried all the corruption issues in india. what me worry about corruption?

the same kleptocrats continue to rute, and they are increasing their power daily.

i have to hand it to them in terms of propaganda, marketing, and goebbelsian diversionary tactics. simply brilliant.

we need a william faulkner to write the story of 'sound and fury' in india signifying that nothing has changed, not one thing.

of course most of the writers are highly compromised people, except for a stray person like s l bhyrappa or o v vijayan. they are, naturally, ignored by the #chormedia and are basically turned into non-persons by the stalinist establishment, which instead promotes second-rate organization men.
