Somewhat related: Justice Markandeya Katju of Supreme Court says, in a public lecture, "Muslim rulers deliberately projected as intolerant". He "attributed simmering Hindu-Muslim tensions to a deliberate rewriting of history to project Muslim rulers as intolerant and bigoted, whereas ample evidence existed to show the reverse was true."
Mr Justice Katju actually heaped praise on Tipu Sultan!
