just hit 6,000 posts here, which i think leads me to believe we need a different mechanism than a blog. the volume of posting is high here. i thank fellow blog-authors and commenters -- that 18,000 is a lot, and it excludes the comments made by the five-six blog authors.
what's the easiest/least effort/cost way to convert this into a small web magazine? any ideas from readers is solicited. the problem with a blog is that it's like a streaming medium -- like tape, say -- which is linear, not random access -- like a disk, say.
it would be good to have this blog turn into a magazine with several sections, so that people can go to their areas of interest, say politics or science/technology or hinduism. i have had requests from several people to that effect.

The idea of a small web magazine is great.
Congrats for crossing another milestone
Congrats Rajeev.
Great job.. keep it going...
I guess a readymade CMS solution like Wiki would suit the purposes best. The categorization features would enable easier grouping based on disparate subjects . The chink in the armor may be the messy commenting system in wiki , but i guess there might be some plugins available that makes commenting a relatively less tedious task...
I don't know the answer but I commend your idea of going to the next level. You go, Rajeev! Aim high!
Congrats. Really appreciate your commitment towards the regular postings. The idea of a web magazine is great. Something like 'Pragathi' maybe..?
