Security for Indian Politicians

... the Special Protection Group (SPG) that is exclusively meant for providing security to the PM, former PMs and members of the Gandhi family. Interestingly, the SPG budget for 2008-09 is Rs 180 crore, up from Rs 117 crore the previous year, while the 2008-09 budget for NSG, which is meant to protect over a billion people from terror, is Rs 158 crore, down from Rs 159 crore crore the previous year...

So the Dynasty is safe, thanks to taxpayers' money. But what about commoners like those poor souls at Chatrapati Shivaji railway station? Well as Mary Antoinette would say, "Let them eat cake!!"

Isnt there no way we can stop this atrocious overspend on Z+ security, especially on the Gandhi family? What is the justification for Z security for Priyanka and Rahul!? Its appalling.

It is well known that Sonia G. is concerned about the dynasty's security to the point of being an OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). The crores being spent on her safety are thus no surprise. Her greatest nightmare is not a Paki nuke attack or a terrorist strike on Indian citizens. It is the fear of being carried by a howling mob (along with an uncomprehending Rahul) to a guillotine or some such device set up at India Gate or thereabouts. She doesn't want to die as India's Marie Antoinette, only to live like one.
