WSJer Thinks West Can Buy Pak's Nukes

Some naive fool at the WSJ thinks that the West can buy out Pakistan's nukes, to prevent them from falling into AlQaeda's hands. Pfft - that's rich - as if Pak would ever give up its knife to hold at the world's throats. They'll sell their nukes alright - to Saudi, Iran, Libya, Syria, NKorea, etc. But they won't be doing it to meekly submit to the whims of Westerners.

If this guy is so interested in buyouts, maybe there's a bridge in Brooklyn - or some shares in GM or Lehman Bros - that I could offer to sell him.

I doubt you'd say that san if you read more of Bret Stephens.

The article is more sarcastic in tone than serious.
