Arundhati: Hindu Fascists to Blame, etc, etc

Here's Arundhati Roy to remind us that the Mumbai attacks are actually the fault of Hindu fascism, blahblahblah. I'd wondered what was taking her so long to spew forth. I think she just had to work out the mental gymnastics of how to spin the blame in the way she wanted.

I guess it took awhile for her to spew her verbal diarrhea in a 'liberal paper' the Guardian.

She is the ultimate Sepoy demonizing India and Hindus and earning brownie points from the WASP establishment. She is serving her masters well for plucking her out of obscurity into fame and money.

The British police killed an unarmed Brazilian electrician in 2005. Later this officer who shot him was not found guilty, even though there were some procedural problems. Perhaps she can start a petition against the British police. Don't count on it, though you don't bite the hand that feeds you.

Rajeev,

There is no shortage of such people in India. We have some more of such rants from Slurdesai

http://ibnlive.in.com/blogs/rajdeepsardesai/1/53035/times-change-politicians-dont.html

And here we have Rajdeep with another round of BJP bashing

Some points that catch the eye

“If it’s the NCP-Congress alliance in Maharashtra, it’s the BJP which was ruling Gujarat and Rajasthan when serial blasts occurred there. Could any political party justifiably claim that they have licked terror and have a monopoly on the issue? ”

“Unfortunately, the BJP’s campaign against terror has become an ideological war revolving around identity politics that has weakened the party’s credentials to fight the highly motivated international terrorist. The manner in which some BJP leaders used the arrest of Sadhvi Pragya in the Malegaon blasts investigations to try and whip up “Hindu rage” was clearly out of tune with the citizen’s desire to see a united front against terror in all forms.”

“Nothing exemplified this better than the public reaction after Narendra Modi’s visit to the Taj hotel even while the siege of Mumbai was on. As the macho political face of the BJP, Modi symbolized the party’s anti-terror plank. ”

“By offering a monetary reward to the family of the slain police officer Hemant Karkare, he complicated matters even further: after all, only days earlier, at election speeches in Madhya Pradesh, Modi had virtually accused Karkare of “torturing” Sadhvi Pragya. From being cast as a desh-drohi one day, to being celebrated as a “desh-bhakt” martyr the very next, the attitude of the sangh parivar to Karkare denied them the moral high ground in the war on terror.”

“If the NDA continues to see the war on terror only through the prism of a particular community, it too will suffer.”

Compare this with what our secular priests like arundati and slurdesais have to say.

I have written to Guardian explaining Arundhati Roy's land-grab at Pachmarhi, and the construction of a luxury villa in violation of forest conservation laws. I also mentioned that she went through the motions of expressing support for the victims of Nandigram genocide, but backed off from public protest after her communist friends advised her to back off.

I urge more people to write to Guardian.

What is that dessicated prune saying? Her verbiage appears to be so totally pointless.

I wish the terrorists target these psecs and their families and they get to experience the pain of death and destruction. They may then shut their stupid mouths.

Think the best way to deal with "elements" like A Roy - is to simply ignore her. Not comment on her articles, no response - dead silence. Responding is giving undue importance that what she says matters ...

I just TRIED to read the verbal garbage of A. Roy but had to leave off about halfway. Just don't get what she's driving at, unless it is that one Babu Bajrangi is responsible for 9/11. Some posters have expressed the wish that she had been in the Taj on that day. We-e-ell, if the terrorists really want to put a bullet in her brain they'll have to aim at the ass.
