As citizens now its important for us to keep this vigil alive... we are organising a similar peace protest in Bharuch on Friday. We all must keep this alive and put pressure on our government to act...

These are organised by the media and our secular intellectuals by Javed Akhtar and Padamsee to bail out the Congress.
The idea seems to be that: all the political parties are bad..but congress is the least evil among parties...so during election times, BJP's gain in the mindspace after the Mumbai jihadi attack has got to be nullified..hence these 'enough is enough' rallies...
Nice to see my fellow Gujaratis out of their businesses for a while and joining in a nationalist vigil moment.. never seen them galvanise to this extent..
To hitch writer, please take your peace protest to Surat as well.. people there are just too busy to protest themselves.. (Correct me if there is one happening already, I have no way to know.)

I really don't see the purpose of a peace protest at this juncture. Terrorists aren't particularly influenced by peace protests.
On second thoughts, it's a war protest.. not a peace protest, the reporter in the 1st clearly says so..
