Foreign funding to NGOs in India has soared by 56%, according to figures released by the govt. Apparently, Pakistan is among the donors.

Happy Mitrotsavam 2008 or whatever. It has been mostly boring,
nice to find somebody researching NGO payments. The TV coverage shows that the payments are working. Why gujju is receiving so much money, hope there is no major conversion campaign going on there.

Pakistan is now sending funds directly too? I know they send money and materials through 'other' means (laundering, smuggling, forgery etc.)

These 'NGO's must be throughly audited and the members of the board and the operations must be monitored by the government.

Vladimir Putin made a crackdown on 'NGO's operating in Russia and for good. Many of these 'NGO's were responsible for 'coloured' revolutions in former Soviet Republics.

And these 'NGO's are the ones who often shout on 'Human rights' and 'minority persecution' here.
We are better-off without them...

Could anyone suggest resources.

Here is the link to the actual report ... http://www.mha.gov.in/fcra/annual/ar2006-07.pdf

As expected, overwhelming majority of funds are from Christian Missionaries for Christian Missionries in India.

Here is analysis from Last Year's Report http://www.sanghparivar.org/blog/sjain/hpi-christian-institutions-top-list-of-ngos-operating-in-india-in-2007

In my post below,

I have suggested creating a Wiki database of these and being in action.

Please suggest. Would like to take this up and provide some resources in the earnest.
