Kissinger Op-Ed on Embracing Pakistan

Henry Kissinger weighs in on whether it's prudent for the US to embrace Pakistan.

Formed in the partition of British India in 1947 because the Muslim minority rejected rule by the majority Hindu population, its eastern borders the dividing line between the Hindu and Muslim religion, its western borders those of the British Raj, Pakistan reflected not a common history so much as a common fear.

Basically saying 'we should not withdraw funding for this failed state because they may yet be useful, and should not complain about and try to fix its terror tendencies because that is out of our control'.
