A promising new hybrid Thorium fuel undergoing testing at Idaho National Labs in USA holds great advantages for Indian nuclear reactors, and could enable us to shift much more quickly to the long-awaited 3rd phase of our 3-stage nuclear energy program envisioned by Dr Homi Bhabha.
This new advanced nuclear fuel developed in USA is called ANEEL, and is compatible with India's existing nuclear reactors.
