Why Kapil Sibal shouldn't fret over social networks?

Every tom dick and harry seems to be on social networks. Every time you post pictures on the net for the world to see, it is quietly indexed by Google and Facebook (and other social networks)M It's hard to ponder over why facebook became so popular; perhaps people don't realize that it's a giant advertising platform.

Infact, for the Governments it would become very easy to get status information about an individual. As Indian Government becomes increasingly self aware about it's criticism, they slowly wish to monitor these platforms for forecasting the trends.

Another issue is the "likes" that a person may do; making it even more easier tp construct a psychological profile of an individual. What probably started as an advertising magnet would slowly morph into a giant governmental tool; your private data is neither respected nor deleted.

Why should sibal fret over it? At the same time, Google monitors and clicks every move you make in the name of personalising your search; slowly this would mean that alternative view points to an issue would be censored based on your past searches or "likes". There is no opt out of these forced transgressions and central issues like individual privacy is thrown out of the window.

Look around for alternatives; what you say or do in future would be held against you; perhaps in the court of law. It's morphing into a demon we never may realize that it could possibly do.

Why should Kapil Sibal fret over it? If he just wanted 15 seconds of fame, he got enough bashing already for it.
