Obama's Climbdown from the Moon
A Financial Times column points out that Obama's climbdown from the moon race is a step backwards for his country, and a sign of American decline.

and a good thing for moon, considering what these westerners have done to 'new worlds' they 'discovered'- Americas, Australia etc.
The potential for damage due to the exploitative western attitude is too high even in possibly uninhabited places like moon.
Well, China is worse than Western countries when it comes to exploitation and it is not backing out of the race to moon.
